Day 1 – Sun. Apr. 30: DEPART

Board your international flight today, bound for the Holy Land. Depart from Boston Logan International Airport at 5:00pm on Delta Air Lines flight DL042, arriving at New York’s JFK International Airport at 6:29pm. Depart from NewYork at 9:15pm on DL468. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 2 – Mon. May 1: ARRVAL IN ISRAEL

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport at 3:00pm. You will be met by a VERED Tours representative, helped through customs and transferred to your hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 – Tues. May 2: CAESAREA, MT. CARMEL, CANA, NAZARETH

After breakfast begin your Holy Land Pilgrimage with a visit to CAESAREA built by Herod the Great. Visit the Roman theater, governor's palace and Crusader City. Continue to Mt. Carmel and the site where Elijah confronted the Priests of Baal. Proceed to CANA, the site of Jesus’ first miracle. Continue to NAZARETH. Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation. Return to your hotel in Nazareth for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 – Wed. May 3: MT. OF BEATITUDES, CAPERNAUM, JORDAN RIVER

After breakfast, drive to the MT. OF BEATITUDES where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Celebrate Mass. Take a BOAT RIDE on the Sea of Galilee. Visit CAPERNAUM, the center of Jesus' ministry in Galilee, Tabgha, site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fishes as well as the Church of Peter's Primacy. Yardenit, the Baptism site on the Jordan River, where those who wish to do so may renew their Baptism. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Thurs. May 4: MT. TABOR, JERUSALEM

After breakfast visit MT. TABOR, site of the Transfiguration of Jesus. Celebrate Mass. Drive along the Jordan Valley past JERICHO one of the world's oldest walled cities as you begin to ascend to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Begin your visit to Jerusalem from the MOUNT OF OLIVES for an overview of the Old City. Walk the route Jesus used to enter Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and visit the chapel built to commemorate the spot where Jesus wept for Jerusalem. On to the GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE. Check into hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Fri. May 5: OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM

Full day walking tour of the Old City: Visit the Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed the lame man. Follow the VIA DOLOROSA, along the 14 Stations of the Cross. Visit the CHURCH OF THE HOLY SEPULCHRE. Celebrate Mass. On to the WESTERN (WAILING) WALL. Continue to the CARDO, the main street of Roman Jerusalem, which has been excavated and restored with shops and galleries along the street. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7 – Sat. May 6: JERUSALEM, BETHLEHEM

Full day sightseeing in Jerusalem: Visit MOUNT ZION, the Upper Room, the site of the Last Supper as well as the tomb of King David. Visit the ISRAEL MUSEUM where the DEAD SEA SCROLLS are on display as well as a large, scale model of ancient Jerusalem. Visit Ein Kerem, the hometown of John the Baptist. Visit the Visitation Church and Church of John the Baptist. Drive to BETHLEHEM and visit the Shepherd’s Fields. Continue to the Church of the Nativity built over the grotto where Jesus was born. Mass at the Church of the Nativity. Return to Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 – Sun. May 7: DEAD SEA, MASADA, JERASH, AMMAN

Depart Jerusalem, heading east through the Wilderness of Judea to the DEAD SEA - the lowest spot on earth. Visit MASADA the site of one of the most dramatic scenes in history. Drive north along the Jordan River and cross over into the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Visit Jerash, one of the largest and best preserved Roman city in the region. Continue on to Amman, the capital city for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 9 – Mon. May 8: AMMAN, BETHANY, MT. NEBO, DEAD SEA

After breakfast tour the city of Amman, known to the Romans as Philadelphia – the city of brotherly love. Celebrate Mass at a local church. Depart Amman to visit Bethany Beyond Jordan, believed to be the site in the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. Continue to MT. NEBO where Moses looked across at the Promised Land he would never be allowed to enter. Visit MADABA where ancient mosaics were found depicting Jerusalem the Holy City. Check-in to your hotel by the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.

Day 10 – Tues. May 9: DEAD SEA, JAFFA, DEPARTURE

After breakfast enjoy a rare opportunity to swim/float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. Drive west through the Judean Desert, by Jerusalem. Continue on to Tel Aviv to briefly visit the ancient Biblical port of Jaffa. Visit the Church of St. Peter and then proceed to a local restaurant for your farewell dinner. Transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport for your return flight.

Day 11 – Wed. May 10: ARRIVE HOME

Depart on DL469 at 12:30am, arriving in New York at 5:19am. Depart New York at 7:00am on DL4070, arriving in Boston at 8:24am. Arrive home today with wonderful memories of your pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
