Saturday 15th February: Arrival to Casablanca
Upon arrival in Casablanca, you will be greeted from the airport to your hotel, our dedicated team
ensuring a smooth transition into the heart of Morocco.
Begin your journey with a welcome dinner at your accommodation, where the rich tapestry of
Moroccan cuisine unfolds before you with intricate flavours and delicate tastes.

Day 1
Sunday 16 th February: Casablanca – Rabat - Fes
After breakfast before taking the road to Rabat we visit the Hassan II Mosque, the second largest
mosque in Africa and a testament to exquisite Islamic art and architecture. This architectural marvel
is visually stunning, the mosques intricate calligraphy and ornate designs offer a feast for the eyes
and ears, with guides providing rich descriptions and historical context, making the visit a truly
enriching experience.
After a short drive, arrive in Rabat to experience the cultural and historical richness of Moroccos
capital. Begin with a visit to the iconic Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret that stands as a
testament to the citys architectural heritage. Explore the nearby Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a
stunning example of traditional Moroccan craftsmanship. Wander through the charming Kasbah of
the Udayas, with its narrow streets, Andalusian gardens, and breathtaking views of the Atlantic
Ocean.
Transfer to Fes, arriving in the evening to check into your accommodation and take some time to
relax before a traditional Fassi dinner.

Day 2
Monday 17 th February: Fes Discovery
Immerse yourself in the heart of Fes with a guided city tour that begins at the famous Bab Boujloud
(Blue Gate), leading you through the captivating maze of the ancient Medina. Explore key sites like Al
Quaraouiyine University and Mosque, Bou Inania Madrasa, and the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden
Arts & Crafts, all while taking in the sounds, sights, and smells of the bustling markets. Continue to
the Attarine Madrasa and the vibrant Chouara Tannery. Discover the Jewish heritage of Fes with a
visit to the Mellah, the historic Jewish quarter. Explore the Ibn Danan Synagogue, one of the oldest
and most important synagogues in North Africa, and the Jewish Cemetery, known for its
whitewashed tombs and historical significance.
As the day winds down conclude your adventure with a dinner hosted by a local family. Gather
around a table to enjoy a home-cooked. Engage in lively conversations, learning about the customs
and daily life of your hosts, while savoring the rich flavors of Moroccan cuisine in an authentic

Day 3
Tuesday 18 th February: Fes to Merzouga, Sahara Desert
Begin your adventure with an early morning departure from Fes, heading towards the enchanting
Sahara Desert. Travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through charming Berber
villages and lush cedar forests. Stop in Ifrane, known as "Little Switzerland" for its alpine-style
architecture, and continue to Azrou, where you can see the famous Barbary macaques in the cedar
forest.
Continue your journey through the picturesque landscapes of the Middle Atlas, arriving in Midelt for
a lunch break. Savor a traditional Moroccan meal and take some time to explore this town, known
for its apple orchards and surrounding mountains. Resume your trip, descending into the Ziz Valley,
renowned for its stunning gorges and vast palm groves before the landscapes transform into vast
desert plains, signaling your arrival at the edge of the Sahara. Upon reaching Merzouga, you will be
greeted with traditional Moroccan hospitality. Prepare for an unforgettable desert experience as you
transfer to camels for a scenic trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to watch the sky transform
into a canvas of warm hues, with shades of orange, pink, and purple blending together as the sun
sets. Return to your camp and settle into your comfortable tent and take in the serene beauty of the
desert. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under the stars, accompanied by local music and dance.

Wednesday 19 th February: Merzouga to Ouarzazate
Before leaving the sand of the Sahara behind, you have the option to set off on a sunrise camel trek
across the Erg Chebbi dunes, to witness the desert awaken. After breakfast, the day’s journey leads
you through the towering cliffs and winding canyons of Dades and Todgha Gorges, where the
breathtaking natural beauty of Morocco is on full display. The gorges are some of Morocco’s
geological wonders where a sense of the size of nature and its immense power is all around you.
Arrive in Ouarzazate, known for its dramatic landscapes and historical significance, in the early
afternoon, after settling in, begin an introductory tour of the city. Start with a visit to the iconic
Taourirt Kasbah, a historic fortress offering a glimpse into Moroccos architectural heritage and its
strategic significance in the region. Stroll through the maze-like passages and explore the beautifully
restored rooms and courtyards. Head to the Atlas Studios, one of the largest film studios in the
world, where many famous movies and TV shows have been filmed. Enjoy a guided tour to see the
impressive sets and learn about the film-making process in this unique desert setting.

Day 5
Thursday 20 th February: Ouarzazate to Marrakesh
Start your morning with a visit to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its
stunning kasbahs and ancient architecture. Wander through the narrow alleys and experience its
unique other-worldly atmosphere. Return to Marrakesh enjoying the scenic drive through the rugged
beauty of the High Atlas Mountains, with winding roads and deep valleys. Traverse the dramatic Tizi
Tichka pass, the highest in North Africa before winding down to the ‘Red City’. Spend the evening
unwinding after your adventure with a relaxed dinner in your accommodation.

Day 6
Friday 21 st February: Marrakesh Discovery
Embark on a captivating journey through the heart of Marrakesh, beginning at the bustling souks
where the air is fragrant with spices and artisan crafts fill every corner. Wander through a maze of
vibrant stalls, discovering local fabrics, pottery, and traditional Moroccan wares. Discover the serene
Majorelle Garden, an enchanting oasis of exotic plants and vivid blue accents that was once the
home of Yves Saint Laurent. Visit the historic palaces of Bahia and El Badi, splendid examples of
Islamic and Moroccan architectural styles, featuring intricately carved ceilings and beautifully
maintained courtyards, absorbing the historic charm and architectural marvels that define
Marrakesh.
Enjoy a delightful dinner at a terraced restaurant in Marrakesh, where you can savor traditional
Moroccan cuisine while overlooking the vibrant cityscape.

Day 7
Saturday 22nd February: Marrakesh- Cooking Class
Dive into a culinary adventure on your last day in Morocco with a cooking class, your cooking class
offers an immersive experience into the rich culinary traditions of Morocco. The experience usually
begins with a visit to a local market (souq) to select fresh ingredients. Guided by an expert chef,
participants learn to identify and choose the best produce, spices, and herbs that are integral to
Moroccan cuisine.
Once back in the kitchen, the class covers the preparation of traditional dishes such as tagine and
various Moroccan salads. Participants are introduced to the unique techniques and spices that define
Moroccan cooking, such as the use of saffron, cumin, cinnamon, and preserved lemons.
Under the chef’s guidance, attendees get hands-on experience in cooking and assembling their
dishes. This often includes learning how to properly use a tagine pot, balance flavors, and create the
distinctive layers of Moroccan dishes.
Throughout the class, the chef shares insights into the cultural significance of Moroccan food and
dining customs, enriching the culinary experience with historical and social context.
After cooking, the class culminates in a shared meal where participants enjoy the fruits of their labor,
accompanied by traditional Moroccan mint tea. This meal is often enjoyed in a beautifully decorated
courtyard or terrace, providing a perfect setting to reflect on the culinary journey and savor the
authentic flavors of Morocco.

Sunday 23rd February: Essaouira Excursion
Depart from Marrakesh to the charming city of Essaouira, in a guided tour discover the bustling
fishing port, wander through Essaouira’s enchanting Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with its
narrow streets lined with artisan workshops, galleries, and vibrant souks. Visit the historic Skala de la
Ville for panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city’s fortified walls. Visit an Argan oil
cooperative to learn about the production process and the significance of Argan oil to the local
economy. Depart from Essaouira in the late afternoon and return to Marrakesh by early evening,
carrying with you the vibrant memories of Essaouira’s rich culture and coastal beauty.
Celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner in a stunning Riad. Savor delicious Moroccan cuisine
while reminiscing about the trip and the magical experiences you have had in Morocco.
